Collaboration with Novel Creature

 This Spring I had the pleasure of meeting up with Marissa of Novel Creature to work with her on a piece for Novel Creature's Spring/Summer 2015 Collection.  Novel Creature is a line of accessories that is made with recycled materials and hand dyed with natural dyes. A portion of proceeds from sales goes toward Agape, which offers help with adoption fees and counseling. 

She had the idea to modernize the traditional bolo tie. After she explained what she had in mind we worked together to create sketches of what that might look like. I made brass findings to act as the centerpiece and end pieces of the bolo tie. If you look closely you'll notice the hexagon shape that is in Novel Creature's logo in the centerpiece! 

 I had such a great time working with Marissa. It is always fun bouncing ideas off another creative person. Be sure to check out the other pieces in her collection...I want one of everything!
